YOUNGSTERS can help save endangered species, says psychologist and author Dr Carla Litchfield.
Her latest book, Saving Tigers, is aimed at children aged five to seven, a group she says is often neglected by non-fiction writers, publishers and conservationists.
“I think a lot of people in the past have just written books so that children will love the animal,” Dr Litchfield said.
“I want them to know a bit more about the science.
“More than just giving them facts, giving them ideas and reasons for how we might save endangered animals and what they might be able to do.”
